Landing in Estes Park

Updated: Apr 7

I recently moved to Estes Park, Colorado. What an amazing experience it's been so far. The obvious go-tos are the park and abundant elk population, but we also have moose, big horn sheep, black bears, bald eagles, and mountain lions in town and the immediate area. For someone that loves finding wildlife, this is something of a paradise.

I'm taking up residency at a local hotel for the next three years in order to grow this blog and help bring the experience of the wild to those of us still trapped in the city.

I suppose being an artist in residence means I'll have to grow a man bun, wear necklaces, and be misunderstood. Maybe I'm just not that artistic. But I'm always happy to bring you along for the journey. I'm busy making a list of to-dos to knock out some of the top sights, but I'm definitely open to suggestions. From lakes and glaciers to fourteeners and animals, let me know what you want to see and I will find it. When you visit, you'll be able to make a list for yourself and pack in as much adventure or relaxation as you want without skipping a beat, waiting in lines, or stopping where the pavement ends.

Where do you want us to go next?

As always, prints of nearly all these photos are available at www.eliottkroll.com.
